Tower Block Radio is more than a station. It is a platform for underground music, local talent, pirate radio history, youth opportunity and the next generation of DJs, producers and selectors. Led by Slimzee and built around the culture that shaped UK garage, grime, dubstep, jungle and bass music, our community work exists to open doors for artists who are usually left outside the system.
A station with a social purpose
Tower Block Radio exists to broadcast, document and develop underground UK music culture. We want to create real opportunities for artists, DJs, producers, hosts, engineers, videographers, designers and young creatives - especially people from communities where access to studios, radio, mentoring and industry networks is limited.

Pirate radio gave generations of UK artists their first platform. Before algorithms, major playlists and viral clips, there were aerials, tower blocks, bedroom studios, white labels, dubplates and DJs taking risks on unknown music. Tower Block Radio keeps that spirit alive - but with the structure, safeguarding and accountability needed to make it sustainable.
